Deepening Discipleship, Making More Disciples

Open Church Prayer and Bible study

OPEN CHURCH  This meeting began during lockdown 2010 and was created to give people an opportunity to chat together, share news and to end with a time of worship and prayer.  This is done on Zoom and is open to everyone, whether you normally attend church or not.  We use a word on which to centre our thoughts. There is no pressure to take part, so you can listen in and feel part of the fellowship.  You don’t need the internet either as you can access Open Church via the telephone.

PRAYER MEETINGS

These have been held as part of our Open Church meeting on a Wednesday morning which is attended by an average of 28 people.  We bring along our prayer requests and see amazing answers.

As part of the Circuit prayer initiative, individuals from our church have time slots on a Wednesday afternoon/evening to pray, in their own homes, for local and global needs.

We have a Prayer Team who have been trained to listen and pray with you.  These people are identified with a special badge.

BIBLE STUDY

Until lockdown, 2 Bible Study groups met in people’s homes.  When we could not meet in person, Bible study material has been prepared on a regular basis for those who would have attended.   We look forward to starting home groups again.

We consider that the reading of God’s Word is vital so we have started a Bible Bank to enable every person who would like a Bible to receive one free of charge.
