The North West Durham Methodist Circuit consists of a network of ten churches in the Stanley and Consett areas.
The circuit has a wide choice of types of worship and events. There are events and groups for children and families as well as contemporary and family friendly worship, plus a variety of activities bringing people together from different churches, a few of which are listed below:
- North West Durham Circuit Choir - which performs a variety of music for Churches, Concerts and Shows
- Good News Choir
- Messy Church
- Men's Forum Gospel Choir - singing throughout the local area
- Men's Forum - which meet once a month to enjoy a meal followed by an after dinner speaker.
- Methodist Women in Britain Group and Wives & Friends who meet together throughout the year
- Revive - come along to hear some truly gifted and inspirational speakers in a more informal format.
- Consett Street Friends - "we are thrilled to be responsible for the highly acclaimed Street Friends project in the night-time economy of Consett”.
- Regular Prayer events
- Disciple Groups
- Bible Study Groups
- A variety of 'one off' activities.
