Deepening Discipleship Making More Disciples

 Methodist Women in Britain

MWiB includes and incorporates The Women’s Network in the Methodist Church (WN) and the British Unit of the World Federation of Methodist and Uniting Church Women (British Unit, WFMUCW) and aims to go beyond both!

The aim of Methodist Women in Britain (MWiB) is to know Christ and make him known, encouraging, enabling and equipping women to participate fully in the life of the Church and in society, supporting the Church to become truly the whole people of God.

MWiB encourages women to develop creative Christian spirituality and practical social action in a global context.

Our activities in Britain are informed by belonging to God’s people world-wide. We see ourselves as part of an international movement of faith, compassion and hope; growing in love for God, our neighbours and ourselves as we connect with the concerns of Christian women overseas. In this way, we equip women for mission, recognizing and linking gifts and needs. We aim to operate in a manner that is flexible, vibrant, transparent, creative and participative.

NORTH WEST DURHAM CIRCUIT

EASTER OFFERING 2019.

LONGER TABLES, LOWER FENCES

This year’s Easter Offering Service will take place on  Wednesday 1ST. May

At Annfield Plain Central Methodist Church beginning at 2.00pm.

About Easter Offering

This year’s Easter Offering follows a 135year old tradition which began to raise money for Methodist Women Missionaries. Today it is the World Mission Fund that receives the money. In 2018, £355,000 was raised in total and N.W. Durham Circuit raised £1,194.35.

At the Easter Offering Service we will hear stories and see pictures of people throughout the world who are respondents to God’s call to show radical hospitality and outrageous generosity.

The Easter Offering Service is open to everyone

Envelopes will be given out on Palm Sunday and placed on collection plates on that day or Easter Sunday.

Please support our Mission Partners in the valuable work they are doing.
