The Kids from M.A.D.

DELVES LANE MUSIC AND DANCE GROUP (M.A.D)

MAD was set up in 2007, working initially with teenagers on Sunday evenings. We meet in the Methodist Church and began as a dance group open and affordable to all, teaching various styles of dance, but very soon began to fulfil a demand for also making music and song.

MAD now therefore offers instruction in dance, singing and various musical instruments and live band performance work.

In 2014 singing and dancing was opened up to younger children from age 5 and they now meet in the afternoon prior to the seniors.

Our aim is and always has been to allow children and young people to learn new skills in the field of music and dance or to develop existing talents in a non-competitive, relaxed setting, whilst remaining affordable to all.

Each year at the end of the summer term, we stage a variety show in a local theatre to showcase the children and young people’s talents to parents, family and friends.
