REVIVE
'The new season of REVIVE began with a celebration of the thrilling story of the growth and development of Messy Church in our area. A good attendance, a different worship band from Lanchester, hands-on craft activities to get involved with and an inspiring talk and PowerPoint presentation from Rev. Les Nevin all made for a great night. It was a wonderful opportunity to worship but also to give thanks to God for the many people whose hard work makes it possible for Messy Church to happen in the churches.'
Update (June 2011)
What a thrill it was to see every seat taken at REVIVE on Sunday 15 May. We were well served again by the worship band from Lanchester and it was great to have an inspiring and challenging message from Rev. Neil Cockling. We are very grateful to the helpers who set up the hall, put everything away at the end, welcome people as they arrive and serve tea and coffee. Anyone who wants to volunteer to help, please get in touch with us.
Our final event for this year’s programme, on Sunday 10 July, is advertised in this newsletter and we are looking forward to a new speaker to our area, Rev. Rob Hawkins. Rob is the minister of Jesmond Methodist Church and also chaplain to Newcastle University.
Also, we are now in the process of planning the programme for 2011/12. We hope to line up some good speakers who will encourage us in our desire to serve God where we are and bring people to know Jesus as their Saviour.
