Rev Gavin Hume

Hi! I’m Gavin Hume, one of the Ministers on the North West Durham Circuit staff team.

I grew up in Guisborough, a town on the edge of the North York Moors, so while I’m not quite in my native Yorkshire, I am delighted to be in the North East and serving in this area. Before going ‘into the ministry’ I worked for a computer software company in Liverpool.

After training in Durham I served my first appointment in Acomb, near York, before coming here in September 2007.

I am married to Tracey, and we have 2 children, Jack & Cameron.

I am a keen musician (and occasionally a songwriter), a Middlesbrough FC supporter, and I love camping and walking in the Yorkshire Dales.

I am primarily responsible for the following churches in our circuit: Burnhope,East Stanley, Kyo Laws, Lanchester and South Moor.
