Burnhope Methodist Church
Holmside Lane, Burnhope. Durham DH7 0DP
Minister Rev Gavin Hume

Our worship services usually take place :
At 10:30am on the first Sunday of the month only
On all other Sundays our service is at 5:30pm
(This pattern changes for November through to March when the 10:45am Rememberance Service is the only morning service in the month, and for Mothering Sunday when a 10:30am service is held as the one morning service that month all other Sunday services during this period will start at 3pm)
We are here to celebrate the love that God shows for all people in Jesus, a love that all people are invited to experiance and share.
Burnhope Methodist Church is part of a group of nineteen churches which make up the North West Durham Methodist Circuit. The circuit provides a variety of activities bringing people together from different churches.
Being part of a circuit is something which enhances our worship, since services are conducted by a variety of different preachers;sometimes one of our ministers but usually one of the circuit local preachers (lay men and women who have trained as preachers in the Methodist Church).
Weddings and Blessings are held in the church , as well as Baptisms and services of Thanksgiving & Blessing after the birth or adoption of a child.
The members of the church are involved in various other activities within the village. We believe we are here for the whole village and we are involved with it's concerns.
Please feel free to 'pop in' and join us- our building is the chapel behind the village War Memorial.
If you'd like to know more please contact either our minister Gavin Hume, or the circuit office.
